Port Infrastructure Details:

Brightlingsea Port is a Spring Tidal NAABSA (not always afloat but safely aground) Spring Tides 2 sets per month period lasting about 7 days. Low Tidal period separates Spring Tides are Neap Tides and are lower in water depth again Period about 7 days.

Restriction Port of Brightlingsea (Oliver’s Wharf):

• NAABSA
• LOA up to max 100 metres on Spring tides.
• Beam subject approval up to 14.50/15.00 metres.
• No Air draft restriction (no bridges to go under)

Draft of vessel:

• Spring Tide periods range 4.50 to a max 5.20 metre
• Neap Tide period range 3.50 to about 4.50 metre

Type of Ship

Ideally low loaded draught on spring tides up to 3500 tons cargo capacity – if cargo of light density then vessell size about 4000 tons cargo capacity.
